Full manual — YMYW Collection

1Before you start
  • Charge your batteries. Fully charge all battery modules before first use. While charging, a red light stays on next to the charging cable — when that light turns off, the battery is fully charged. Charging takes up to 3 hours.
  • Charging hats, masks & gloves. These charge a little differently — the item blinks red while charging and stops blinking once it's fully charged.
  • Connect power cables. Inside your garment you'll find the power connectors. Some items use 1 battery module, others 2 — check all pockets and make sure each connector is firmly attached.
  • App control required. All Gen2 YMYW fiber-optic apparel is controlled through the mobile app.
  • The battery button. The button on the battery module does not change colors or modes. It only turns the last saved preset on/off. To change color, brightness, speed or effects, use the app.
2Safe use of fiber-optic fabric
  • Never fold against the fibers. Don't fold the fiber-optic fabric perpendicular to the fiber direction, and don't press, sit, or lean on a fold (e.g. a car seat) — force or hard pressure there creates permanent creases that can break the fibers.
  • Avoid pulling & twisting. Don't stretch, twist, or force the garment into tight spaces or sharp corners.
  • Protect from pressure. Don't apply heavy pressure to lit fiber-optic areas.
  • Recharge promptly. Dim lights mean the battery is low — recharge to keep performance up.
  • Warranty note: manufacturer defects are covered for 1 year. Damage from misuse, sharp bending or improper handling is not covered.
3Battery handling
  • Connecting: place the battery in its pocket first, then connect the cable to the module.
  • Removing: disconnect the cable from the module first, then take the battery out.
  • This order prevents tension on the wiring and ports.
4Cleaning instructions

All YMYW pieces are washable. Always remove the battery module and electronics first.

For a full clean:

  • Hang the garment on a hanger.
  • Spray it inside and out with warm water and a little mild detergent.
  • Wait 15–20 minutes.
  • Rinse gently with a shower head (warm water).
  • Hang to dry in the shade until 100% dry, then reconnect the battery.

For small marks, just wipe with a soft damp cloth and a little mild detergent.

Never machine wash, tumble dry, wring or twist the fiber-optic fabric. For dry cleaning, tell them it's fiber-optic fabric.

5Environment & storage
  • Avoid high humidity, dust buildup, direct UV, high-energy light sources, and chemicals (gasoline, solvents, plasticizers, ethyl acetate, PVC, etc.).
  • Store in a dry, ventilated, waterproof location.
6Temperature range
  • Safe operating range: −10°C to +50°C.
  • High heat can melt or warp the fiber-optic fabric; extreme cold can make fibers brittle.
7Outdoor use & water safety

The apparel is lightly water-resistant — the garment can get wet, the battery cannot.

  • If it rains: turn the battery off immediately, remove it, and store it dry (a Ziplock works well).
  • Once everything is fully dry, reconnect and continue.
8App features

Use the app for: color selection, brightness, speed, lighting effects, patterns & presets, custom color/mode settings, and multi-item syncing (where supported). Without the app you can't change lighting modes.

9Troubleshooting
  • Lights won't turn on? Check the battery is charged, the cable is firmly connected, and you hold the ON button 1–2 seconds.
  • Lights flickering? Battery is low — recharge; check the cable; make sure the garment isn't bent sharply.
  • App not responding? Restart the battery module, restart the app, and make sure Bluetooth is on.
10Long-term care & warranty
  • Hang the garment to store, avoid leaving it compressed, clean gently, and charge batteries about once a month even when not in use.
  • Covered by the YMYW Quality Warranty: manufacturing defects in electronics, wiring and construction under normal use for 1 year.
  • Help or replacement parts: [email protected] · YMYW, Las Vegas, NV. Returns/exchanges within 14 days.

16M colors 32,000+ presets Whole-body glow Sound-reactive Dual battery Patent-pending

Full manual — Chameleon X

1Before you start
  • Charge your batteries. Fully charge all battery modules before first use. Chameleon X runs on a dual-battery system for longer run time, and a digital display shows the exact charge percentage so you always know the level.
  • Connect power cables. Inside your garment you'll find the power connectors — check each pocket and make sure every connector is firmly attached.
  • App control required. Chameleon X is controlled through the LED Chord app.
  • The battery button. The module button only turns the last saved preset on/off — it does not change colors or modes. Use the app for everything else.
2Safe use of fiber-optic fabric
  • Never fold against the fibers. Don't fold the fiber-optic fabric perpendicular to the fiber direction, and don't press, sit, or lean on a fold — force or hard pressure there creates permanent creases that can break the fibers.
  • Avoid pulling & twisting. Don't stretch, twist, or force the garment into tight spaces.
  • Protect from pressure. Don't apply heavy pressure to lit areas.
  • Recharge promptly. Dim lights mean a low battery.
  • Warranty note: manufacturer defects are covered for 1 year. Damage from misuse or sharp bending is not covered.
3Battery handling
  • Connecting: place each battery in its pocket first, then connect the cable.
  • Removing: disconnect the cable first, then remove the battery.
  • This prevents tension on the wiring and ports.
