I took this jacket to burning man and it was a huge hit. I had 5-10 people coming up to me every night to ask about it. Some of the other reviews scared me into ordering a large instead of a medium, and I think the medium would’ve fit me better (i’m 5’8″ & 150lb). In terms of keeping you warm, it’s thin but it’s solid plastic so it kind of acts like a wind breaker. The battery seemed to last for 4-5 hrs, to extend it you can plug in an extra usb battery to it while it’s plugged into the jacket.
WARNING – some permanent creases in the fiber optic material have started to form at the natural folding points like where the elbow bends, so be gentle with it. I think this is from wearing it while I was riding my bike on the playa.
